 28 June, Founders’ Day: the School celebrated its Sesqui-  5 March 2010
 centenary with a service in St George’s Cathedral and at   Education Minister Dr Liz Constable

                                             A previous recipient of the Medal of
                                             Gallantry, Ben Roberts-Smith (1994-95)
                                             was awarded the Victoria Cross; the
                                             pre-eminent award for acts of bravery in
                                             wartime and Australia’s highest military
                                             honour - for his service in Afghanistan.
                                             The citation reads, ‘for the most
                                             conspicuous gallantry in action in
                                             circumstances of extreme peril as
                                             Patrol Second-in-Command, Special
                                             Operations Task Group on Operation
                                             SLIPPER.’
