Following the end of Round 23 you might have checked the footy tipping scores to see how you fared and noticed that MICHAEL PANEGYRES and RYAN BATT were right up there on our Leader Board . . .  but alas, not quite up there on the overall Leader Board. They’d been edged out by a Melburnian who came from nowhere to claim that 48"flat screen TV . . . or so we thought!

There’s been a recount, and just as we thought, gremlins from the east were afoot. Seems like it’s not just China who hack into very important stuff all around the world!

Justice has reigned supreme and MICHAEL PANEGYRES has been rightly crowned King of the Tippers – and will now be able to sit back and watch the GF on his new big telly!

Current Leader                                                        Score

Michael Panegyres Hale School WA 152

Ryan Batt                   Hale School WA 152

Brad Fry                    Melbourne Grammar VIC 151

Christian Stocco        John XXIII College WA 150

Richard Verhagen    Kardinia International VIC 150

Robert Commons      Scotch College VIC 150

Julia Lyons                Ballarat & Clarendon College  149

Carrie Jennings         Ballarat & Clarendon College  149

Michael Brennan       Caulfield Grammar VIC 149

John Grierson           Scotch College VIC 149

Congratulations to you Michael – but commiserations to RYAN – who got edged out at the last hurdle being beaten by the ‘margin’. It was a great battle between these two for the majority of the season – and great to see two Hale tippers at the top of the overall Leader Board. In fact there were a number of Haleians flying the flag for Hale School and for WA! It’s always good to beat the Vics at what they think is their own game!

As well as a new TV. . .  MICHAEL will also pocket the OHA prize of $500

RYAN the second prize of $250

and on a count-back (again thanks to the margin)

JEFF KANE will claim the third prize of $100.

(Commiserations to TERRY EDWARDS and BILL URQUHART who finished with the same points as Jeff, but behind - following their margin selection. Well-played none-the-less).

PETER KOPKE who was the last man standing in the Knock-out Competition is also a winner and will receive his prize of $100 shortly.

The competition has been resurrected for the finals – no prizes this time around, but one last chance for a little bit of glory if your name sits on top of the list come the end of Grand Final Day.
