Latest edition of the Haleian out now
25Jul2023

The latest edition of the Haleian explores what the motto 'Duty' means and looks like at Hale School today, with a focus on duty to self, to school, and to God or something greater than yourself.

Hale School's motto of 'Duty' has stood the test of time and remains a moral compass for our students to do what's right in service to others. This edition of the Haleian explores what that means and looks like at Hale School today, with a focus on duty to self, to school, and to God or something greater than yourself.

We also introduce you to Hale's new Deputy Headmaster, Dr Peter Coutis, who replaces Mr David Bean, who retired at the end of 2022 after many years of service. Dr Coutis comes to us from Scotch College, Melbourne after starting his career as a university academic.

Dr Coutis also writes in this edition about both the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) in education and also why the ATAR still matters at Hale.

Also read about new additions to our Connections program with St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls and Perth College, in addition to our longstanding partnership with St Mary's.
